The Helmsmen Institute has an exciting vision for a club, which we feel called to share with the Stoa community. We have a team of outstanding and successful alumni and parent coaches who together have decades of experience in coaching, teaching and competing in Stoa. These Christian servant leaders are delighted to be able to bring their coaching and teaching philosophy and style to Voyagers.
Coaching All Levels: We offer coaching for
beginning, Intermediate, Advanced and Juniors students competing in Stoa.
Coaching Staff: We offer coaching, teaching and oversight
from hand-picked Helmsmen staff and seasoned and dedicated Helmsmen board members.
We offer coaching for Lincoln Douglas, Team Policy and Parliamentary Debate, and for all speech events.
We offer mentoring and support for students and parents according to Galatians 6:2. We focus on faith,
truth and virtue (Philippians 4:8; Colossians 3:2).
We place an emphasis on deep
